Constipation

What is it and what are the causes?

Constipation is characterized by low frequency removal of faeces, and the seat is hard and dry. The main cause is insufficient fiber in the diet. Other possible causes are lack of exercise and body fluid deficit.
When to go to the doctor?

If you are constipated for more than five days, or if you have fever, abdominal cramps or bloody stool.
Indications for daily life

Eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat more high fiber foods such as soy beans, and celery. Eat more nuts, honey, sesame or peanut to lubricate the intestines. Eat more beans, potatoes, onions or radishes, which accelerates the gas to produce defecation. Drink at least eight cups of water a day. Take warm sitz baths to stimulate blood circulation and personal hygiene. Take regular exercise. Lack of movement is the main cause of constipation in older people. If you have hemorrhoids or anal fissures, treat them immediately.
What should you do

Do not eat too many dairy products, meat or eggs. Do not ignore the need to defecate.
Traditional Remedies

Soak a towel in hot water and hold a one or two minutes in the anus to stimulate defecation. Follow often comic performances. Laughter does a massage of the bowels. When you sit on the toilet, use these methods to accelerate intestinal transit: abdomen alternately dilated and contracted, the inspiration and expiration. Locate the point on the back of the forearm, at four fingers above the wrist fold, between two bones, and press lightly with a nail for a minute. Tap the left index finger, the point below the navel to the left until there is a feeling of pain and swelling, then continue pressing for 20-30 seconds.

Routinely do these massages to improve the functioning of the digestive system: Lie lie and bend your knees (with feet flat on the floor) to relax the abdominal muscles. Rub your hands together until warm. Massage your upper abdomen 30 times in a clockwise direction. Then massage your lower abdomen 30 times in the same way. Put your left hand in the lower right abdomen and push up and then horizontally to the right, passing over the navel, and finally, down to the pubis. Repeat this sequence ten times.

Rub with fingertips big for one minute areas on the waist line, two finger-widths on both sides of the spine. Press and knead slightly, by 30 times, with the middle finger point located midway between the umbilicus and the lower edge of the sternum. Press and knead slightly, by 30 times, left hand middle finger on both sides of the point below the navel.
