Cataracts

What is it and what are the causes?

Cataracts cause vision loss or disturbance, because it fades and opacizeaza lens. Other symptoms include double-images, halos, or sensitivity to light and reduce the perception of color. In severe cases, the lens may look milky or yellowish. The causes may be, besides aging, diabetes, overexposure to ultraviolet rays, smoking and heredity.

Indications for daily life

If needed, wear safety glasses with UV filter. Studies show that people who drank daily at least five cups of green tea is low risk of cataracts. Eat enough vitamins C and E. Eat more foods rich in zinc: peanuts, sesame seeds, soy products, fish and shrimp.
What should you do

Do not expose yourself to bright light for a long time, high temperatures or chemical solutions. Not reading and watching TV more than an hour. Do not use halogen lamps, which are to contract the pupils. Do not eat fried foods or too many sweets. Do not smoke.
Traditional Remedies
